Jo - Psychotherapeutic Counsellor

Life can be complex; sometimes, we need the proper support to navigate the path. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your feelings, understand your experiences, and work toward a place of balance and well-being. Therapy should be as unique as you are, so I tailor my approach to meet your needs, always keeping in mind your inner strength and capabilities.
I don’t see myself as the expert on your life—I’m here to walk alongside you as a guide and collaborator. I view our work together like explorers: you hold the compass, and I hold the map. Together, we’ll chart the best course for your journey.
On a personal note, I understand what it’s like to juggle many roles and emotions. I’m a mum of three neurodivergent boys, and I’m also neurodivergent myself, coming to this realisation later in life. As a single parent, I know firsthand the challenges of balancing family life, work, education, and finances. I’ve also experienced early perimenopause after losing an ovary, so I can relate to navigating changes in life’s different stages. These personal experiences inform my approach and allow me to connect deeply with those facing their own unique struggles.
As Maya Angelou beautifully said, “We delight in the beauty of the butterfly but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” Therapy, like life, is about growth and transformation, and I am here to help support and guide you through the process.
