Jay Hellings, ND Gestalt therapist in advanced training
I’m Jay, a Gestalt therapist in advanced training in the UK. If you are experiencing low mood, anxiety, struggling with relationships, or wish life was more satisfying than it is for you right now, then I would like to meet you. An initial, free consultation will give us both an idea of what it would be like to work together and what you might gain from that.
Like many Gestalt therapists, I work in a relational way. What happens between you and me as we communicate can be a window into how you navigate life. It’s my job to hold a space that you can trust and where, as much as possible, you feel accepted. Within that space we can explore the patterns that come up between us and experiment and play with different ways of responding, different ways of being.
Gestalt does not have to be a purely talking therapy. If you feel safe with movement, body awareness, and breath, then these things can play a powerful role in bringing awareness to your felt experience. This is entirely optional, and we will only work in ways that feel safe for you.
Since 2021, I have worked with adults who sought help through Manchester Mind, LGBT Foundation, Noah’s Ark Centre in Halifax, and in my private practice. Previously based in Manchester and now in West Yorkshire, the people I’ve worked with have been diverse in age, nationality, ethnicity, identity, type of work, state of health and neurotype. If you would like to know more about what it would be like to work with me then please feel free to contact me in whatever way works best for you.
