Ariella Assouline-Invisible Threads Clinical Counselling
My name is Ariella Assouline. I am an art therapist and registered clinical counsellor (RCC) working virtually across British Columbia, and in other unregulated Canadian Provinces. I provide neurodivergent-affirming counselling for autistic adults, ADHDers, and other folks navigating trauma, masking, overwhelm, and burnout. My work is grounded in the Social Model of Disability and guided by a disability justice lens. Rather than reinforcing oppressive systems that demand conformity, my intention is to name and disrupt them.
I am certified in Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST). This approach understands that these aren’t “symptoms” to be fixed, but protective parts stuck in old survival roles. This is a gentle, collaborative approach, focused on the present, can help you to access relief from overwhelm and build a sense of internal safety without having to revisit the past or relive painful memories.
The goal is to build a relationship with your nervous system that feels respectful, sustainable, and entirely choice-driven. Together, we can move through at your pace, including somatic work when—and if—it feels safe for you. By listening to your whole self through a nervous-system-aware lens, we can begin to untangle the invisible threads of trauma and survival.
I would welcome the opportunity to work with you, wherever you are in your life right now. Finding the right fit is a vital part of the healing process. When you are ready to explore support that respects your unique rhythm, please reach out to book a free consult.
