Elizabeth Thompson - LPCA, NCC

You’re exhausted from navigating a world that wasn’t designed for you. People tell you you’re strong—you feel like you have no other choice. I work with adults who’ve experienced trauma, have ADHD or autism, are neurodivergent in any form, and/or have military, corrections, or law enforcement backgrounds. Navigating a neurotypical world, carrying trauma, or managing a high-stress career can feel isolating. You’re the expert on yourself—my job is to help you reconnect with and trust your inner voice. Using your strengths, values, and even your special interests or hyperfixations, we’ll create a plan and work towards it together.
As a late-diagnosed AuDHDer, I bring both personal experience and professional insight to my practice, fueling my commitment to providing care that takes into account all types of minds and past experiences. My approach is based on understanding and compassion, making sure you feel truly heard, understood, and supported every step of the way.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Kentucky & a Nationally Certified Counselor, holding a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health and Military/Veterans Counseling with an undergraduate background in psychology. I have completed Level 2 Gottman Method Couples Therapy Training. I am trained in EMDR.
