Eleanor Jones - Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Living with neurodivergence in a neurotypical world can cause people to experience anxiety, work stress, burnout, perfectionism overwhelm, emotional dysregulation, imposter syndrome, relationship stress, communication issues, dating anxiety and general exhaustion from trying to hold everything together. I work with people to help manage these challenges, and feel more of a sense of self-control, self-knowledge and self-compassion.
I offer neurodivergent-affirming therapy for adults who identify as ADHD, autistic, AuDHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic, or otherwise neurodivergent. I have experience working with those who are exploring late-diagnosed or self-identified neurodivergence, burnout, masking, or the challenges of navigating a world that isn’t always designed for neurodivergent ways of thinking and being. My aim is to provide a supportive, collaborative therapy space where you can develop greater self-understanding, self-acceptance and practical ways of navigating daily life.
I offer a relational, collaborative and experiential approach to counselling, creating a space where you can explore difficulties at your own pace. Therapy can support you to ground in the present while making sense of past experiences, helping you approach future challenges with greater clarity, resilience and confidence. I draw on humanistic and existential therapeutic modalities among others, adapting my approach to each client and the evolving needs of the work. I aim to practise in a way that is trauma-aware, neuroaffirmative and culturally sensitive, recognising the importance of identity, context and lived experience.
I offer an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy space and welcome clients across a wide range of gender identities, sexual orientations and relationship structures (GSRD). My practice aims to be inclusive, respectful and non-pathologising, supporting people to explore identity, relationships and life experiences in ways that feel meaningful to them.
I hold a Clinical Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Metanoia Institute and practise in accordance with the ethical framework of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
