Hello! I’m a neurodivergent Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist. I work in a parts-based way (informed by IFS and relational psychoanalysis), supporting people to make sense of their experiences, patterns, and inner world in a way that feels meaningful and grounded.

I tend to adjust the therapeutic frame to fit you, rather than expecting you to fit a pre-existing model. That might include pacing things differently, being flexible about how we communicate, or working in ways that don’t rely on you having to translate your experience into something more conventional. The aim is to create a space where your way of processing and relating can be understood on its own terms.

Much of my work is with people living with Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, particularly where trauma sits alongside neurodivergence or a long history of feeling misunderstood. This can show up as overwhelm, shutdown, dissociation, or patterns that feel hard to shift. Rather than treating these as problems to eliminate, we work to understand how they developed and what they’re doing for you, so that something different becomes possible over time.

have over 20 years’ experience, and I’ve also been through the mental health system myself. I know how worn down things can become. Part of my role, at times, is to hold hope for you — until it becomes something you can begin to feel again.

– Dr Jay
