Hi, I’m Cora. My work as a therapist is deeply informed by who I am and the communities I belong to. I am fat, queer, neurodivergent (AuDHD), chronically ill, and a lifelong learner. These identities are not separate from my work; they enrich it by shaping the way I understand stigma, marginalization, resilience, and healing.

Because of my lived experience, I intentionally create a space that is affirming, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and rooted in cultural humility. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to “fix” you or define your experience for you, but to collaborate with you as you move toward the life you want, and ultimately help you find your definition of healing through understanding.

When you work with me, you can expect respect, compassion, and honesty. I prioritize building a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to be fully yourself, without judgment, shame, or pressure to conform to someone else’s expectations.

Our work will be collaborative and tailored to you. I draw from approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, and trauma-focused modalities, and I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. We will regularly check in about your goals and adjust as needed. If something isn’t working, we’ll talk about it. I take a holistic, integrated, and eclectic approach to therapy. You can trust that every technique I bring to our work together, I’ve used personally, so I can understand more intimately how it works and what I’m asking you to do. I’ll also provide real life examples of ways to use each technique. I’m passionate about techniques that actually work for YOUR life, not just the hypothetical textbook application. This might include, for instance, relating your interests, such as your fandoms, to various interventions or perspective shifts. Humans learn through play and relatability, and this understanding guides my approach.

I also hold confidentiality with great care. Your trust matters deeply to me, and I work to ensure our space, even virtually, feels secure and supportive.

My Areas of Focus

I specialize in working with adults whose identities and experiences are often misunderstood or marginalized in traditional mental health spaces. My focus includes:

Neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD)

LGBTQIA2S+ identities

Polyamory and kink-affirming care

Sex work and other stigmatized professions or lifestyles

Fat body liberation

Chronic illness and disability

Marginalized belief systems and identities

These areas are important to me because too many people have been harmed by systems that pathologize or dismiss their lived experiences. I am passionate about providing care that is affirming, validating, and empowering.

You deserve therapy where you don’t have to educate your therapist about who you are. You deserve a space where your full identity is welcomed. That’s what I strive to offer every day at Mana Therapy Services.
