Practitioner identifies as: ADD, ADHD, AuDHD, Autistic, Neurodivergent

Common Ground is a specialist neurodivergent-affirming psychotherapy and counselling practice, created by and for people who have spent too long feeling misunderstood, over-pathologised, or let down by support that wasn’t built with them in mind.

We bring together carefully chosen therapists who specialise in autism, ADHD, AuDHD, and the places where neurodivergence intersects with trauma, identity, culture, and LGBTQ+ experience. Many of us are neurodivergent ourselves — which means you won’t spend your sessions translating your experience before the real work can begin.

Who we work with

We offer neurodiversity-affirming therapy and counselling for:

– Autistic adults, AuDHD adults, and adults with ADHD — including those who are self-identified, undiagnosed, or late-diagnosed
– People navigating autistic burnout, ADHD burnout, masking, sensory overwhelm, shutdowns, and emotional dysregulation
– Late-diagnosed autistic women and adults processing identity, grief, and what comes next
– Adults with complex trauma, CPTSD, or PTSD — particularly where trauma and neurodivergence overlap
– LGBTQ+, trans, and gender-diverse neurodivergent adults
– Neurodivergent adults from Black, Asian, mixed-heritage, immigrant, and diaspora backgrounds — where neurodivergence has often gone unrecognised for longer
– Parents, partners, and family members of neurodivergent people
– People navigating rejection sensitive dysphoria, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and chronic overwhelm
– Adults exploring neurodivergent identity, self-understanding, and unmasking

What we can support you with

– Autistic burnout and ADHD burnout — including the shutdown, withdrawal, and exhaustion that comes from years of masking and over-functioning.
– Trauma and complex trauma through a neurodivergent lens.
– Emotional regulation, RSD, and nervous system overwhelm. Identity, self-acceptance, and life after late diagnosis.
– Relationships, communication differences, attachment patterns, and boundaries.
– Anxiety, depression, and the particular kind of exhaustion that comes from moving through a world not built for your brain.

How we work

Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and relational. We don’t try to make you more neurotypical — we work with how your brain actually functions, adapting our approach to suit your communication style, sensory needs, and the way you process and experience the world.

Sessions are online across the UK and Europe. No formal diagnosis is required — we work with self-identified and undiagnosed neurodivergent adults.

Our team

Common Ground is led by Tayler Remi, an integrative psychotherapist specialising in neurodivergence, trauma, and LGBTQ+ inclusive care. Our associate therapists are carefully chosen for their values, clinical approach, and lived understanding of neurodivergent experience. All practitioners are trauma-informed, culturally competent, and LGBTQ+ inclusive by design.

We also offer The Clearing — a depth-informed therapeutic support service for neurodivergent adults who want practical, grounded support alongside or instead of traditional therapy.
