Cheryl Rettig, Autistic/ADHD Peer Support Coach
Who I work with:
I specialize in working with late identified autistic and/or ADHD adults searching for answers and a soft place to land where you can be seen and heard without judgment while you discover yourself. I also work with women struggling to understand their autism/ADHD through the intersection of misogyny/patriarchy, capitalism, ableism, and high control religion. Please note I equally accept clients who have an official diagnosis or who have self-identified.
My approach and what to expect:
I offer a free 20-minute consultation over zoom to discuss your top priorities, needs, and goals, as well as ask me any questions that will help you make a decision about working together. Before we chat, I will send you a link to a brief intake form. Completing this form will help you clarify what you’re looking for in a coach. If you decide we’re a great fit, you can book your first session via my website or through my email. You will receive reminder emails before your scheduled appointment day/time.
Sessions with me are “come as you are” and based on mutual respect and collaboration. They are designed to honour your unique wiring while building self-acceptance, compassion, and the freedom to be yourself. You are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, have drinks and snacks with you, and move/stim freely. If you prefer to have video off or use the chat feature, you are very welcome to do so.
Every session is designed to meet you where you are, using the tools best suited for your needs. I’m here to listen, guide, educate, and support you. We’ll go at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. I am always open to your feedback and ready to adjust our approach when necessary. I will always honour your needs and limits. If you need to stop at any time, we will.
During and after a session, my clients often experience greater insight and clarity, deeper relaxation, and less tension, all while building tools that can help them understand and advocate for themselves and their needs, discover their strengths, and face their challenges with more self-love, grace, and compassion.
Who am I?
I am autistic. I am ADHD. I am also a peer support coach who helps autistic and ADHD adults learn to know, love, and accept themselves, just as they are.
What sets me apart?
I lived forty years as an unidentified autistic/ADHD woman. I am familiar with the confusion, overwhelm, and grief that can be wrapped up in living decades without knowing who you are and why you’re struggling. I have completed a 140+ hour coaching training program that incorporated both theory and practical experience in individual coaching and facilitating small group workshops. I am also a certified BodyTalk and Emotion Code practitioner and Reflexologist.
