Brooke Oldfin, RCC, Child, Adult, and Family Neuroaffirming Counsellor
Hi, I’m Brooke — a Registered Clinical Counsellor (MSc, RCC) based in Squamish, BC.
I specialize in supporting late-diagnosed and self-identifying neurodivergent adults and youth, particularly those who’ve spent years being overlooked because they were “too capable” to raise concern. My practice has particular depth in:
-Athletes and high performers — drawing on my own background as a Division I athlete, I understand the overlap between neurodivergent traits and performance culture, where masking and overachievement are often mistaken for strength.
-Children and youth, including those navigating assessment, disclosure, or family systems still learning how to understand them.
-Families trying to understand and support a neurodivergent member, or navigating multiple neurodivergent identities within the same household.
My work is trauma-informed, person-centred, and somatic, with strength-based, DBT, and CBT tools woven in as needed — but the foundation is this: your neurodivergence is not the problem to solve. It’s information, a skill set, a way of processing and moving through the world that, once understood, can be worked with instead of against.
Together, we work toward a grounded sense of self-understanding — not just naming what’s different, but learning how to use it. Healing here isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about getting to know, and trust, who you already are.
