BACP Counsellor — Neurodivergent Individuals & Couples Therapy
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor with over 30 years of experience supporting people within the NHS. I continue to work as a counsellor for the NHS specialising in helping people who are neurodivergent or who have partners or family members who are. I also give support to ambulance services and offer emotional support in environments where pressure, responsibility, and complexity are part of every day life.
My on-line with couples involves working
with neurodivergent-neurotypical couples and I structure sessions at the pace directed by both members of the couple and structure sessions appropriately. I also work with neurodivergent individuals.
My interest in this area of work originated through having neurodivergent family members and I tailored my professional approach to reflect this.
I continue to develop my practice through
ongoing training to ensure the work remains
thoughtful, grounded, and current.
I practice integrative therapy and have vast
experience of using a number of models to
suit individual client requirements
My work is empathetic, and collaborative.
I aim to create a safe environment where
clients can speak openly, feel heard, and
explore what they are experiencing.
I work from a place of inclusivity, patience,
and respect for difference, helping clients
develop and understanding of themselves
and others not by erasing differences, but by making a meaningful space for them.
