Anahata Somatic Therapy - Alexys Gonzalez, MA, LMHC, RYT-200
I recognize that identity, culture, and the systems we live within shape our experiences, relationships, and sense of self. I’m deeply committed to providing inclusive, affirming care for people of all backgrounds through healing rooted in authenticity, compassion, curiosity, and intention.
As a mixed-race (Southeast Asian and Hispanic), non-binary, queer, and neurodivergent therapist, my work is informed by both lived experience and clinical training. I integrate somatic therapy, expressive arts, attachment work, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and sex therapy to support healing that bridges insight with embodied experience. My approach draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, and narrative therapy, and may include body-based practices such as breathwork, meditation, gentle movement, or creative expression.
I view healing as a process that extends beyond insight and conversation into developing a deeper understanding of yourself. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or behaviors, we’ll explore the emotional, relational, and embodied patterns that influence how you connect, communicate, experience intimacy, and move through the world. By strengthening the mind-body connection, therapy becomes a space not only for understanding your experiences, but for creating meaningful, lasting change.
My goal is to offer a supportive space where you can reconnect with yourself, deepen self-understanding, and develop practical tools for building more authentic, connected, and fulfilling relationships—with yourself and with others. Together, we’ll explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, honoring your unique story in a way that feels grounded, empowering, and nonjudgmental.
