Sarah - Neurodivergent Occupational Therapist

I’m Sarah. I’m a neurodivergent occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting people in mental health and neurodivergent services. I now run my own practice, MoodLifter. I provide OT either online, in a clinic in Coventry or at your home in Solihull.
You won’t have to guess what I’m thinking — I aim to be clear and transparent, and I will always work with you, not at you. We’ll make decisions together and go at your pace.
Occupational therapy helps you understand the link between your routines (or lack of routines), motivation, energy levels, environment, sensory needs, and the activities you want or need to do. It can support you to build strategies around self-care, work, rest, social connections, and managing demands.
I understand that some things that seem simple to others can be very hard. That’s okay — and you don’t have to explain or justify it. We’ll use your values and strengths to support the things that matter to you.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Interoception Curriculum (to support emotional and body awareness), and a neuroaffirmative approach. I am also a personal trainer so can incorporate advice on using exercise to regulate or explore barriers to being active. I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore what it’s like not to mask in a therapy setting.
Sessions are flexible and can be adapted to suit your communication and processing needs.
