I am a therapeutic coach and counsellor working with clients online.

Coaching helps you set and achieve goals while counselling helps you recognise and solve your problems in life. A coach is required to challenge you in order to help you make better decisions while a counsellor may gently challenge you from time to time but it is not at the core of their work.

Coaching is about change in action while therapy is generally reparative. Within the coaching process we look at how the there and then may be impacting on the here and now but coaching is not focussed on understanding the past or overcoming traumatic events. On the other hand while therapy may look at future goals it may be the case that moving from therapy to coaching after the reparative work has been done is useful for some clients.

My coaching starts from the belief that people are the experts in their own history and experiences. I also believe that in order to help people choose the right path now I have to recognise the intersections of identity and experience that have defined and influenced their journey.

From both professions you can expect respect, unconditional positive regard and a non-judgmental approach.  Therapeutic coaching is an approach that combines elements of coaching with traditional therapy or counseling techniques. It aims to help individuals overcome challenges, achieve personal growth, and enhance well-being. As a hybrid approach it draws from both therapeutic and coaching modalities to provide a comprehensive and client-focused intervention.
