Alyssa - Neuroaffirmative Psychotherapy in Canada
I want you to know that I come to this work not only through professional training, but through lived experience as a neurodivergent person with invisible disabilities, which shapes how I listen, pace sessions, and attune to nervous system needs. My approach is collaborative, neuro-affirming, and somatic, grounded in the belief that there is nothing “wrong” with you to be fixed—together, we focus on understanding your unique brain, body, and inner world and supporting regulation, choice, and self-trust. I prioritize consent, accessibility, and flexibility in how we work, and I welcome different communication styles, processing speeds, sensory needs, and ways of showing up. Therapy with me is a space where masking is not required, strengths and challenges can coexist, and healing is approached gently, relationally, and at a pace that honours your nervous system, values, and lived reality.
