Hi, I’m Lucy, a qualified neurodivergent BACP registered counsellor, specialising in working with autistic and ADHD clients.

I have years of experience in supporting clients with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, abuse, dealing with an inner critical voice, difficulties with relationships, and obstacles to self acceptance and self care. My priority is that clients feel safe, heard and validated in sessions with me, and I offer genuine kindness, warmth and compassion in supporting clients to build self understanding, acceptance, and coping skills.

I have worked with many clients who have, like myself, been diagnosed as neurodivergent later in life, and want to understand their lives and themselves from the perspective of being neurodivergent, looking at areas including strengths, support needs, masking and sensory profile.

As a person-centred and integrative counsellor, I will work with clients to tailor support to their needs. Together we may explore current and past experiences, and looking at how they impact life, relationships, and inner thoughts and processes. We may look at incorporating more self-care, identifying specific needs and how to meet them, exploring ways to self-regulate, manage overwhelm and work through life’s obstacles. This may include mindfulness, creative work, sensory needs, and building an understanding of the unique ways in which the client communicates and process experiences and emotions.

I am trauma informed and neuro-affirming in my practice, and have specific lived and professional experience, training and interest in supporting autistic people and those with ADHD (including AuDHD) navigating the overwhelmingly neurotypical world around us.

I am late diagnosed autistic myself, and as a parent carer too, neurodivergence is also my passion and special interest.
